Safari Overview

This safari combines the best of Magical Kenya and Unbelievable Uganda. The journey starts in Nairobi, Kenya’s vibrant capital city. From here we will take you straight to Masai Mara to experience the wildebeest migration and millions of zebras in their natural habitat. A little further north in Lake Nakuru, you will have the best scenic views with pink flamingos and the rare white rhinos at the rift valley lake.

Back in Nairobi, you will fly out to Entebbe in Uganda. From here we will go on a boat trip through Mabamba Swamp in search of the giant Shoebill bird. The next day, we will be driving through Kigezi Highlands to Bwindi Impenetrable Rain Forest for the ultimate gorilla trekking experience.

Itinerary:

Day 1
Welcome to Magical Kenya

Depending on your arrival time, you may rest in the boutique hotel or opt for a visit of Nairobi’s Giraffe Centre.
Day 2
Transfer from Nairobi to Masai Mara

Our first destination is Kenya’s finest and best-known game reserve. Masai Mara is a home to the greatest game show on earth – the Wildebeest Migration.
Day 3
Explore Masai Mara Reserve

After yesterday’s teaser, we will have a full day in Masai Mara with game drives and a lunch picnic in the national park.

Option: Hot air balloon ride and/ or village walk.
Day 4
Pink Flamingos at Lake Nakuru

Lake Nakuru is a rift valley lake that at 1,754 m above sea level that attracts thousands of flamingos, white rhinos and zebras.

Out of Africa Experience

The movie Out of Africa was partly filmed at Lake Nakuru. We will capture the best movie & scenic views as we visit the endangered black and white rhinos in their natural habitat.
Day 6
Transfer to Nairobi/ Flight to Uganda

This is a traveling and transfer day. You can choose to cross the Kenya-Uganda border driving or via plane.

Optional: Kampala City Safari– Visit different historical sites on a walking tour, boda- boda experience, or with your private safari vehicle.
Day 7
Visit the Shoebill in Mabamba Swamp

A wooden motorized boat will take you through the thick papyrus and water lilies of Mabamba Swamp in search of the giant Shoebill.
Day 8
Transfer from Entebbe to - Bwindi

From Entebbe, we will take you southwest ascending into the Kigezi highlands, known as the “Switzerland of Africa”, with terraced farming and mountain scenery.
Day 9
Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

An experienced wildlife ranger will lead you through the thick rainforest to track the mountain gorillas.
Day 10
Bwindi - Kampala

From the “Haven of the Mountain Gorillas,” we will transfer you back to Entebbe with lunch en-route at the Equator.
