Transfer from Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Day 1

Meet and greet at your hotel in Kampala at 06:15 hours. An early morning start from Kampala takes you south west and across the Equator. You drive through savannah grasslands seeing banana plantation and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredibly long carving horns. You then ascend into the Kigezi Highlands known as the “Switzerland of Africa” with terraced farming and mountains scenery. Lunch break in Mbarara.

Accommodation: Buhoma Lodge (up-market) or Buhoma Community Rest Camp (mid-market)

Meal plan: Full Board

Bwindi – Gorilla Tracking

Day 2

After an early breakfast depart to the starting point for briefing about your gorilla tracking adventure after which you will be led by experienced gorilla trackers on the slopes of the volcanoes.

Although the hike can be physically demanding, the anticipation of the exciting experience ahead is amazing, and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants are fascinating. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas before finally sloping down back to your lodge.

Nature Walk

If your trek was relatively short, you may have a guided nature walk around the lodge and the surrounding communities in the evening. After that you will return to the lodge where you will enjoy dinner.

Do not forget to carry your rain gear, packed lunch, plenty of water, gloves, hat, and waterproof bag for protection of your camera in case of rain

Gorilla Habituation Experience

Alternatively you may pay an extra charge of $900 per person for Gorilla Habituation. This needs prior arrangements and bookings. Gorilla Habituation grants you more hours with the gorillas as you learn more about their behavior.

Departure back to Kampala

Day 3

After early morning breakfast we leave to Entebbe by road for your international flight to the next destination. However, time allowing, you may sum up your safari with a cheese and wine sunset cruise on Lake Victoria (extra fee of $75 per person) or have a Normal Sunset cruise (extra fee of $35 per person).

Kampala City Tour

Alternatively, depending on your departure time of your flight, you may reach Kampala and have optional city tour to the famous Gaddaffi Mosque Tower (extra fee of $8 per person) with an amazing view.
