Welcome to Tanzania

Day 1

Your driver/guide will pick you up from Kilimanjaro airport and transfer you to Ilboru Safari Lodge; a pleasant lodge with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. Harmoniously woven into the surrounding African landscape, Ilboru Safari Lodge rests at the base of the majestic Mt. Meru. .

Walking Safari & Game Drive in Arusha N.P

Day 2

After a tasty breakfast you will be picked up from the lodge. An Hour’s drive will take you to Arusha National Park, a small but Beautiful park offering a wide variety of spectacular landscapes at the foot of Mount ,Meru. The fifth-highest peak in Africa dominates the park’s horizon.

To Lake Natron N.P.

Day 3

Today you will be travelling to Lake Natron National Park , a drive of about 4 to 5 hours on a dusty, bumpy road. During the drive you can see many Maasai villages, termite mounds, gazelle, giraffe, zebra, baboons, bee boxes, and birds such as vulture, ostrich, starling, Kory bustard and kite.

Day 4

In the very early morning, before it’s getting too hot, you depart accompanied by a Maasai guide – for a 3 to 4 hour walk to Lake Natron. The walk goes through Ngare Sero village where you can see how the local Maasai community lives. The Lake Natron area belongs to the Maasai and it is very impressive to see them living and working with their cattle in such extreme temperatures and barren soils.

Game Drives in Tarangire National Park

Day 5

Today, after an early breakfast, you will be traveling from Lake Natron to Tarangire National Park. Let the game drive begin! Tarangire is best known for its many gigantic baobab trees and its large herds of elephants; it is a home to approximately 2,500 Individuals and large herds are regularly viewed. You can also spot many different animals like leopard, zebra, impala, warthog, eland, Buffalo, waterbuck and lion. Also the birders will have so much to see; more than 500 different bird-species are present.

Village Walk in Mto wa Mbu

Day 6

Today, after an early breakfast, you will be traveling to the fourth national park of this trip: Lake Manyara National Park.On arrival you will stretch your legs during a 2 to 3-hour village walk in cozy

Mto wa Mbu ’. Here you will meet the local community, taste Homemade banana beer, learn about the Makonde woodcarvings and listen to your guide who will tell you everything about the way of living in this village.

To Serengeti National Park

Day 7

Today you depart for the most famous safari park in the world: the Serengeti National Park.

You’ll drive along a bumpy and dusty road where many Maasai villages can be seen. After 5 to 6 hours you reach the gate of the park and then game drive for about 3 hours towards your camp.The name means “endless plains” in the language of the Maasai, a description that the Serengeti completely lives up to. These endless plains have to be experienced to be fully appreciated! The Serengeti hosts the most extensive population of wild animals on earth and has a complex and untouched system.

Game driving in Serengeti National Park

Day 8

Early in the morning you leave the camp for a full-day safari ! Most of the national park is open and grassy. Ultimately, the success of any safari lies in the number and quality of encounters with big cats. There are thousands of lions in the Serengeti and you have a fair chance to see cheetahs, although they are difficult to spot. And when it comes to leopards, the Serengeti rarely disappoints! We will find you a nice picnic spot to enjoy your packed lunch and then you continue your safari back to Tortilis camp where you have an excellent dinner and some time to relax.

Day 9

Today you enjoy a long game drive on your way out of the beautiful Serengeti and continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area .In the afternoon, you will have a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater ! As an UNESCO World Heritage Site the crater offers a unique biosphere which has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. There are very few places in the world where you can find such a large population of wildlife throughout the year.

Departure

Day 10

Today is unfortunately your last day with Pearlafric Tours and Travel. After breakfast you will drive back to Arusha. Depending on the time your flight departs, there might be some time left today to take a dive in the pool, have a massage or take a yoga class. On clear days you can also enjoy views of Mount Kilimanjaro from the lodge. All activities today are at your own expense. Your driver/guide will take care of your transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport.
