Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park

Day 1

After breakfast, you will be picked from your hotel in Kampala and drive to Murchison Falls National Park. We stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking. Have lunch and then we proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. We drive to the top of the falls for a breathtaking sight of the raging Nile as it forces its way through the rocky gap. It will take you about 6 hours to reach Murchison Falls National Park.

Game Drive & Boat Cruise

Day 2

We go for a very early morning game drive on the northern bank of the River Nile. Your guide will help you spot elephant, lion, cape buffalo, Roth child’s giraffe, hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, bohor reed buck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. Return to your lodge for a full breakfast.

In the afternoon, you will go for a boat cruise along the Nile river which will take you to the bottom of the falls. Stand chances of seeing hippos basking in the sun, crocodiles, elephants and a number of bird species including herons, ducks and the bee-eater.

Murchison falls National Park to Kibale National Park

Day 3

After an early morning breakfast we leave with a packed lunch for Kibale National Park. We drive via the Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley passing through the verdant country side and traditional homesteads and farms.

Overnight: Kibale Forest Camp (Tented)

Chimpanzee Tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day 4

After an early morning breakfast we transfer to the starting point of your Chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale Forest National Park. You will enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many others. Although chimp sightings are not guaranteed, visitors stand a good chance of hearing and seeing our distant cousins as they gloom and bond with one another.

After lunch you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Northern crater area, with beautiful lakes and rich grasslands. It will take you about 4 hours to reach the park.

Game drive & Launch cruise

Day 5

Have an early morning game drive where you have an opportunity to spot lion, leopard, giant forest hog, cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbuck, Uganda kob, topi and bushbuck. Be sure to have your camera ready for these amazing sightings!

Boat Cruise

Return to the lodge for lunch and relax by the side of the swimming pool. After lunch enjoy a unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and this cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing.  The bird life is colorful and stupendous, with over 550 resident species.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Day 6

After breakfast we transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The park is a home to the few remaining mountain gorillas.

Gorilla tracking

Day 7

After an early breakfast depart to the starting point for briefing about your gorilla tracking adventure in Bwindi, after which you will be led by experienced gorilla trackers on the slopes of the volcanoes.

Although the hike can be physically demanding, the anticipation of the exciting experience ahead is amazing, and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants are fascinating. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas before finally sloping down back to your lodge and relax.

Do not forget to carry your rain gear, packed lunch, plenty of water, gloves, hat, and waterproof bag for protection of your camera in case of rain.

Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi

Day 8

After breakfast we drive to Lake Bunyonyi which has a breathtaking scenery. Spend the night overlooking Uganda deepest lake, where you may try your hand at paddling at dugout canoe or eating fresh water crayfish.

Day 9

Spend a day in Lake Bunyonyi relaxing or tryout optional activities as advised by the facility manager where you will be staying.

Transfer for outbound Flight

Day 10

After breakfast we set off to Kampala. We will be reaching early for an optional market visit at African Village along Buganda Road for souvenir shopping and interacting with African culture. Thereafter transfer to your homes.
